For years, the cosmetic industry has peppered many advertisements with “oil-free” which has now left a mark on many of us. In general, I don’t think any of us really want to be “oily” per-se but oil gets a bad rep because it is constantly affiliated with breakouts, clogged pores, messy makeup, etc. But is this the whole picture... really? If you're reading this you probably already realize that it’s not.
Oil can be one of the most amazing ingredients for your skin. It can restore balance, help seal in hydration and water, protect, and fight against free radicals so long as the oil(s) you are using are non-comedogenic and contain the right properties.
Our Oil 10 is a smooth and silky proprietary blend of oils that will restore moisture, balance, calm, protect, smooth, and soften the skin. The base is a combination of grapeseed oil and castor oil for a perfect combo of light weight yet rich and substantial (in texture). It contains a variety of other oils as well to make a perfect antioxidant cocktail with the inclusion of fruit seed oils such as raspberry, pomegranate, and passion fruit. High in linoleic acid, omegas, and Vitamin E- these fruit seed oils stimulate the skin providing a multitude of antioxidants which fight against free radicals and environmental stressors as well as improve smoothness, elasticity, and overall skin appearance. The formula also contains meadowfoam seed and chamomile oil which help soften and soothe the complexion. Unique cold pressed coffee oil and Bakuchiol boosts the skin protective layer to combat the visual signs of aging and skin damage. Bakuchiol- a miracle ingredient that is gaining more and more recognition- is a plant- based, retinol like compound that has the same effect as retinol without all the negative side effects such as dryness and irritation. Lastly, we included a patented blend of rosemary and sunflower oil, called Rosamax, which fights against oxidative stress (a process that dramatically speeds up the aging process) and helps create a barrier to protect the skin.
The main takeaway here is that you should be using an oil at night and depending on the type of skin you have, in the morning as well. Oftentimes we think that because our skin is oily, we immediately go to a place of trying to dry it out. But your skin might be oily because it has not been properly moisturized and therefore now imbalanced and is now compensating. By putting the right type of ingredients back into your skin, you can balance it, protect it, and [with Oil 10] improve signs of aging.
